JK turned into police state: Salahuddin
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Sept 7: The chairman of United Jihad Council Syed Salahuddin on Tuesday said that
Jammu and Kashmir had been turned into a police state.
“Unarmed civilians who raise their voice peacefully for their genuine right of self-determination are being fired upon without any provocation. Massacres carried out by troopers in Kashmir every now and then have exposed the real face of Indian democracy,” the UJC’s Muzaffarabad based spokesman Syed Sadaqat Hussain quoted Salahuddin as having said.
Salahuddin, hailed Kashmiris for extending wholehearted support to the ongoing “Quit Jammu Kashmir Movement” spearheaded by Hurriyat Conference (G).
He paid glowing tributes to children, youth, women and old who fell to the bullets of paramilitary CRPF troopers and police during the past 3-months.
Salahuddin said the militant leadership supports the Hurriyat Conference (G) calendar.
Salahuddin also condemned the arrest and detention of pro-freedom leaders particularly the Dukhtaran-e-Milat chief Asiya Andrabi under PSA. “The detention of Asiya Andrabi, who is physically frail and weak and suffering from several ailments, under PSA in Kote Bilwal Jail, Jammu, is an extremely tyrannical step by the government,” said Salahuddin.
