Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Friday modified its calendar for the year 2019.
As per the modified calendar, April 11 shall be a holiday inJammu wing of the High Court with a stipulation that cases fixed for the saidday shall be listed on April 12, 2019 in addition to the cases fixed for April12, 2019, before the respective bench(es) holding the roster.
“April 18, 2019, a non-sitting day for the court, shall be aholiday in Srinagar wing of the High Court,” the order further said.
The order also said that daily waged/causal workers of theHigh Court shall also be entitled to the benefit of paid holiday on April 11and 18 respectively.
An employee, including daily rated/casual worker of the HighCourt or district courts, who is registered as an elector outside theconstituency where he ordinarily resides on account of his employment, shall beentitled to the benefit of paid holiday on the day of poll, said the order.
