‘Release Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir’
Islamabad (Anantnag): The Idara-Tehqeeqati Islami (Islamic Research Institute), Islamabad has sought immediate release of its President, Mirwaiz South Kashmir, Qazi Ahmad Yasir.
Mirwaiz Yasir was booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) in July last year and since then is lodged in Kotbalwal Jail.
“The students of the institute will stage a peaceful protests by carrying the black flags during its annual conference scheduled to be held on April 24 if our President, Mirwaiz Yasir is not released immediately,” said the President of the Students Union of the Institute, Sarjan Ahmad Barkati.
Meanwhile, the Umati-I-Islami has also expressed concern over the deteriorating health condition of its president Mirwaiz Yasir and demanded his immediate release.
