BJP team to visit J&K
Srinagar: After the visits of Interlocutors and different groups of civil society, main opposition party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced to send its Parliamentary Study Group to Jammu and Kashmir to take stock of the situation over here.
At a press conference here today, senior BJP leader and in-charge Kashmir Affairs, Chander Prakesh Ganga said that on the instructions of party president Nitin Gadkari, a 5-member party team will arrive in Srinagar on April 13.
"The group will be headed by senior party leader Rajnath Singh and it will have interaction with common people. If separatist leaders are willing the group would to interact with them. The basic task of the group is to take stock of the situation in the state and to produce a fair report," Ganga said.
"BJP thinks that people of the state have been suffering at the hands of the present state government and their problems must be addressed," he added.
