Police hosts Youth Conference
Srinagar, Apr 9: Hazratbal police on Saturday organised a Youth Conference at Nigeen Club, a police handout said.
It said 150 youth and respectables hailing from five police stations of the zone participated in the event.
“The youth conference was addressed by DC Srinagar Meraj Ahmed Kakroo and the valedictory address was delivered by SSP Srinagar Ashiq Hussain Bukhari,” it added.
“An enthusiastic response was shown by the youth in the conference highlighting different issues like the setting up of a police force free from nepotism and corruption. They also whispered their concern saying that the FIRs and pending PSA warrants already issued should not be invoked,” it added.
The conference was divided into two phases wherein the first phase dealt with the aspect of what should be the duties of youth towards a developing society. “The participants were given 20 minutes to jot down their viewpoints which where later deliberated upon. The second session dealt with the important aspect of suggesting measures which JK Police could adopt for the betterment of the society,” it added.
