Houseboat gutted
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Apr 11: A houseboat was gutted in Dal Lake, the locals said Monday.
They said houseboat Kings Ring owned by Ali Muhammad Kundroo was gutted due to short circuit on Friday.
“Goods and property worth Rs 20 lakh were consumed by fire,” locals said adding none was hurt in the incident.
Pertinently, at-least three houseboats were gutted in the famed lake in the past few months. While the lake dwellers have been demanding a full fledged fire fighting station in Dal, the government has been silent over the issue.
