2 die in Jammu blast

Jammu, Apr 12: Two persons were today killed and another was injured when a shell exploded in a scrap dealer's shop in Jammu district.
 A powerful blast rocked the border belt of Jourian in Akhnoor tehsil of the district when the shell exploded in the shop, Sub Divisional Police Officer (Akhnoor) Mushtaq Ahmed said.
 In the blast, three persons were critically injured, he said, adding that two among them -- scrap dealer Rampaul alias R S Jungi and Preetam Chand, died in the hospital. The injured has been admitted in GMC hospital here.
 Police and army sealed the entire area after the blast and recovered several live shells. The shells were later defused.
 Police have registered a case and started investigation into the case, they said.
