GVEI celebrates Mehjoor Day

Srinagar, Apr 13: Green Valley Educational Institute on Wednesday observed Mehjoor Day to commemorate 60th death anniversary of Shaer-e-Kashmir.
Speakers at the occasion highlighted different aspects of Mehjoor’s life and poetry.
A school spokesman said: “Mehjoor’s songs presented by the school orchestra, were warmly received and highly appreciated by the audience.”
“The function started with the unveiling of a portrait of Mehjoor in the School auditorium. Abdal Mehjoor, the grand-son of Mehjoor and famous broadcaster, attended the function as the Chief Guest while Tulha Jehangir was the Guest of Honour,” he added.
