JCC concerned at leaders’ condition

Srinagar: The Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) senior leader and Employees’ Joint Action Committee (Q) president, Abdul Qayoom Wani, has expressed concern over the condition of  JCC leaders, Muhammad Sulaiman Bhat and Fayaz Andrabi who were injured in the police action on April 6.
Wani, in a statement, warned of strong protests if anything untoward happened to the injured.
Expressing solidarity with the wounded, Wani warned that the State employees’ movement could not be suppressed by the ‘bullying and blustering’ policy of the government.
Commenting on the hike in the salary of MLAs, the JCC leader said, “The expenditures of hundreds of crores on the salary and other perks of MLAs and ministers do not empty the State exchequer, but when it comes to paying employees’ arrears and resolving their other problems there is financial crunch.”
