Go through Kashmir history: NC to Rajnath

Srinagar, Apr 14: A day after senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh said that his party wanted to know how Jammu and Kashmir was a dispute, ruling National Conference Thursday asked the former president of the rightwing party to go through the Kashmir history.
“Kashmir is a political issue and has to be resolved politically. In-fact former Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee also advocated resolution Kashmir politically,” senior NC leader and Member Parliament Dr Mehboob Beg said in a statement.
“During his visit to Pakistan, Vajpayee had also stressed on resolution of Kashmir through dialogue   for perpetual peace in entire south Asia.”
He said that BJP former president, Rajnath Singh should go through the history of Kashmir. “Deputing of interlocutors by Government of India for resolution of Kashmir issue amply suggests that Kashmir is a political issue.”
Pertinently, Rajnath, while addressing reporters here had said, “Bharatiya Janata Party’s stand is clear. We believe Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and non-negotiable but we want to know from those who say it dispute that how Kashmir is it a dispute.”
Beg said that while the National Conference believes autonomy was the solution to Kashmir issue, the party would accept any solution acceptable to people of all three regions.
Beg also demanded restoration of all constitutions rights which are guaranteed under section 370, Delhi Agreement and 1952 position.
