Timber smugglers attack forest officials, injure 1

Ganderbal, Apr 14: Timber smugglers attacked forest officials and guards at Kijpora Kangan on Thursday injuring a forester.  According to Forest officer, Syed Riyaz Ahmad, he along with other officials intercepted the smugglers and seized 36 cft of deodar from their possession. “The agitated smugglers attacked us,” Riyaz said adding he suffered injuries in the attack.
 He said a case had been registered in the concerned police station.
