BJP politics
The Bhartiya Janata Party’s statement that it was ready to engage with separatists was quite funny. Just a few months back, the same party attempted to set Kashmir on fire by going for a senseless move like flag hoisting in Lal Chowk. And the same party calls for abrogation of Article 370 which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir. How should now people of Kashmir read the new statement by BJP? I feel it is simply vote bank politics to appease the people of Kashmir. At a time when everyone is jumping into Kashmir fray, why should BJP stay away. India unfortunately has made a mockery of entire system of dialogue process. It has allowed every Tom Dick and Harry to visit Kashmir and talk about the Kashmir situation when the issue is purely related to Government of India, Pakistan and Kashmiri separatist leadership. The triangular dialogue could resolve Kashmir, but it seems nowhere in sight.
