BOSE fault
This refers to the news “BOSE panel member quits over injustice”(GK April 15). It is really sad that an institution which evaluates the performance of students at the secondary and higher secondary level is found to do injustice with the students. The recent case of Zoya Sehar is a clear case of denial of justice by a trusted institution. The evaluation has a direct bearing on the future and career of the students. But when the evaluation system is so selective and unfair, one can only image the fate of meritorious students. It not only mars the career of students but affects the credibility of the BOSE as well. It raises a question mark on so many results. The evaluation process has also a direct bearing on the overall educational development in our state and as such the state government can’t act as a mute spectator to the issue. Therefore it is high time for the state government to take this issue seriously and restore the credibility of the institution.
