Govt to set up Heritage Dev Authority
Jammu, Apr 18: Jammu and Kashmir government will set up a Heritage Development Authority (HDA) to protect and promote the state's rich legacy.
"Government has brought a legislation in the state assembly under which a Heritage Development Authority (HDA) with the corpus fund of Rs 50 crore would be set up soon for conservation of the state's heritage in a scientific manner," Minister for Tourism and Culture Nawang Rigzin Jora said.
He said that 38 monuments have been declared as state protected and their conservation is being taken up in a phased manner.
