BSNL reduces broadband tariffs

Jammu, Apr 1: Endeavouring to further popularize its landline broadband services in J&K, the BSNL has reduced the post-paid broadband tariffs.
As per its new tariff plan, the additional download charges have been reduced by 75 per cent, the company in a statement said.
It said the additional download charges for BB plans BBG250, BBG700, BBG Combo 299 and BBG FN 600 have been reduced to 20 paise/MB up to 5GB and 10 paise thereafter. Earlier these charges were in the range of 50- 60 paise/MB.
Additional download charges have been reduced to 10paise/MB for all Limited Postpaid Broadband tariff Plans with Fixed Monthly charges above Rs. 999.
Reduction in Entry threshold for Business/Corporate customers by more than 60 per cent: A new BB tariff plan BBG COMBO ULD 850 for providing unlimited download to business customers with speed of 1 mbps up to 8 GB and 256 thereafter has been launched lowering entry threshold from Rs 2150 to Rs 850.
Unlimited usuage plans BB Home combo ULD 1000,1350,1700 have been made applicable to all subscribers thereby ensuring availability of wide range of lower tariff plans for business/corporate customers.
Download speed has been increased by more than 50 per cent in many existing plans, viz. BB Home combo ULD1000,1350 and BBG combo ULD 2150,3300,6000,9000, 15000.
Free download limits have been increased for various tariff plans viz. BBG speed combo 2799, BBG super speed combo 4999, BBG rural combo BBG rural combo999, BBG CSC 1000.
Free call limits have been increased for BBG combo 1111,BBG speed combo 2799, BBG super speed combo 4999
Free calls facility introduced for Plans BBG combo ULD 3300 ,6000,9000 and 15000.
The Pre-paid Broadband service is also available now across the J & K Circle and will cater to needs of budget customers, student community and others.
