GK NEWS NETWORK
Handwara, Apr 19: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir S M Sahai on Tuesday advised the youth to use their energy to build their careers and stay away from stone pelting.
“I appeal the youth particularly the students to cooperate with police to maintain peace in the Valley. Stone pelting will not yield anything but will definitely increase the difficulties for the people. Youth are the asset for the nation and there is a need to harness their capabilities and latent talents,” Sahai said after inaugurating a Youth Club here in north Kashmir.
The JK police, he said, had initiated some steps in this regard and the youth should make best use of these opportunities. “Kashmiri youth are full of talent and the need is to provide them opportunities to display it so that they not only make a name for themselves but also bring laurels to the state,” he added.
The IGP said that in order to provide platform to the youth in sports police have started Youth Clubs in every district, besides, providing space for sports activities internet facilities are also being provided so that the youth can get information regarding the employment opportunities outside the state and the country.
Sahai said that as a welfare measure JK police are going to open a Police Public school in district Baramulla and later on another Police Public school would be opened in Kupwara.
He said that Police are going to organize educational tours for the students of Handwara in near future. The IGP was accompanied by DIG NKR Muneer Ahmad Khan.
On the occasion SP Handwara Muhammad Aslam and other officers were also present.
