PC students hold eco rally

Srinagar, Apr 21: Presentation Convent students Thursday took out an eco rally at Raj Bagh urging the people to save the Earth.
 Holding placards and banners reading “Save the Earth It’s Your Future; Save Trees and Stop Polluting Water bodies” the students marched through Raj Bagh road and appealed to the people to play a role in preserving and conserving the environment in the valley.
 “We should plant more saplings and stop polluting the environment and water bodies across the Valley,” the students said, adding the pristine glory of the lakes should be restored.
 The students urged the people to desist from using polythene. “The polythene is a non-bio-degradable material and is the main source of pollution,” they said.
 The rally was organised by coordinator eco club, Manzoor Ahmad Sofi.
