Principal booked for 'making' fake certificates

Srinagar: Police on Thursday filed a case against Principal Rahi Public School Gund Hasi Bhat here for allegedly preparing fake certificates.
“The accused had made fake stamp of Zonal Educational Officer Batamaloo and used it to make fraud documents,” police said.
CEO Srinagar, Malik Ghulam Hassan, said the accused was using official stamp of ZEO and signing certificates for past two years. “We came to know about this through a complaint and asked the person to report at our department,” Malik told Greater Kashmir over phone from Jammu.
“He surrendered the stamp saying I was using it for past two years. It seems the principal could have been using it for making middle class certificates for class IV jobs,” he alleged.
An official at police station Parimpora said a case had been registered against the accused.
