SRTC gets `55 cr gross revenue in 2010-11
Jammu, Apr 21: The Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation has registered a substantial increase of Rs.18.69 crore in its revenue realization during the last financial year.
This was informed at a meeting held here today to review the quarterly and annual performance of the Corporation.
The Corporation earned gross revenue of Rs.55.01 crore during 2010-11 against Rs.36.32 crore during 2009-10.
It was informed in the meeting that the Corporation has covered 226.72 lakh km with an operative fleet of 512 vehicles last year against 157.79 lakh km with an operative fleet of 509 vehicles during 2009-10.
Besides, a revenue of Rs.14.02 crore has been recorded during the IVth quarter of 2010-11 against Rs.9.49 crore during the same period of 2009-10 on quarter to quarter comparison basis.
Appreciating the employees of the Corporation for their outstanding performance and achievements, the Minister hoped that they will continue their services with same zeal and dedication. He assured them that all their genuine demands and problems will be sorted out to further enhance their efficiency by streamlining the working of the Corporation.
