ACCI concerned over mutton shortage

Srinagar, Apr 22: The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industries Kashmir has expressed serious concern over the non-availability of mutton in the Valley.
 At a meeting held here with its president M Afzal Parray in chair, the association said the non-availability of the mutton for last over one month has been causing huge inconvenience to the common masses while subjecting the hoteliers and restaurateurs to business losses.
 Parray said imposition of VAT on essential commodities like mutton was not reasonable. He said every year in the early summers the Valley faced shortage of mutton “for reasons unknown.”
 Meanwhile, the chamber has appealed the government to settle this issue at the earliest.
