Baby drowns in Nallah

Srinagar, Apr 22: A baby, Hadia Jan daughter of Abdul Samad Sheikh of Khanday Pora drowned in Nallah Sonman near Matipora Kulgam in South Kashmir.
 According to police, the body of the baby was later fished out and handed over to family for last rites.


BODY OF WOMAN FISHED OUT
 Police today fished out an unidentified female body from Jhelum near village Banayari Ajas in Bandipora.
 “The body is lying in Police Station Sumbal for identification.
 If somebody has any information regarding the woman they can inform the Police Station Sumbal on following mobile numbers: 9697994010, 8803084647, 8803864902,” spokesman said.


MAN HELD WITH BROWN SUGAR
 Police in Kupwara has arrested a man recovering two kilograms of brown sugar from his possession.
 The arrested has been identified as Hasham Ali Khan son of Shahzad Ahmad Khan of Bongam Hayhama, Kupwara, police said adding three packets of brown sugar were recovered from him.


2 ARRESTED WITH DRUGS
 Police in Tral has arrested two persons while selling sedative prescription drugs to the youth.
 The arrested have been identified as Davinder Singh son of Suraj Singh and Rajbir Singh son of Sanjet Singh of Diver Tral, police said adding 144 capsules of Proxyvon and five bottles of codine were recovered from them.
