Muhammad Akram is new Imam of Pulwama Jamia Masjid

Pulwama, Apr 22: Moulvi Muhammad Akram Dar has been designated as Imam and Khateeb of central Jamia Masjid Pulwama in place of Moulana Ghulam Mohi-u-Din Azim who passed away on March 4.
 Moulvi Muhammad Akram’s name was proposed by Imams of the town after extended deliberations and the proposal was approved by Idara Markazi Auqaf, Pulwama few days back.
 Fifty eight year old Haji Muhammad Akram Dar has done post graduation in English from Shimla University in 1974 and has also passed Moulvi course from Dar-ul-Uloom Deoband in 1984.
 Due to religious obligations, Moulvi Muhammad Akram resigned from the bank service in 1984 and joined SK University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST-K) as Assistant Comptroller where he is presently posted as Comptroller.
 Muhammad Akram has delivered sermons at Agriculture University, Railway station Masjid Jammu and Jamia Masjid Nallabal Nowshera for many years.
