HDF employees seek regularization

Srinagar, Apr 24: All J&K Hospital Development Fund Employees Union on Sunday held a demonstration here seeking immediate regularization of their services.
 The protesting employees accused the Government of indifference. “There are around 1300 employees working in various hospitals across the Valley and drawing salary from the hospital development fund. Some of the staff members have crossed the upper age limit and many were nearing it. The Government has failed to do anything substantial for regularizing their services in these hospitals,” the protestors said.  
 They said, “We have been sincerely discharging our duties during the turmoil and unrest during the last three summers. We hope that the Government will give a considerate view to our demand of regularization.”
 They sought personal intervention of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah in this regard. Earlier, the Union members held a meeting at Pratap Park and deliberated upon the future course of action for highlighting the demands.
