NC reacts to Gupta’s remarks
Srinagar: National Conference senior leader and MLA Hazratbal, Dr Mustafa Kamal on Monday sharply reacted to the BJP senior member and MLA Chaman Lal Gupta’s recent remarks against late Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shah, terming these as erroneous and baseless.
Gupta alleged that Shah made his win possible in 1987 assembly elections through rigging as result of which the then candidate and UJC chairman, Muhammad Yousuf Shah alias Syed Salah-ud-Din was forced to pick gun.
Dr Kamal, according to NC statement, claimed that Syed Salah-ud-Din himself had refuted this allegation by saying the gun had entered the Valley even before 1987.
