CS suggests written test for SSB selections

Jammu: Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal on Thursday advised the Services Selection Board to introduce written tests for screening for the posts where the number of candidates was very high. Chairing a meeting to review the SSB functioning, Lal asked the officials to expedite the process of recruitment in a transparent manner. Chief Secretary advised the Board to introduce computer tests for posts where typing skills are required. For this, he asked for equipping the Board with computers and relevant software. Chief Secretary also asked for reviewing SRO-1500 which provides for exceptional qualification while making selections.
