2 killed in mishaps
Srinagar: A person was killed and another injured in two different road accidents in Kashmir on Saturday.
Police said a Tata Sumo (JK13-7453) driven by Muhammad Rafeeq Parray of Gopal Pora hit a girl Sabreena Akhter daughter of Alif-u-Din Paswal at Checki Wattoo Kulgam resulting in her on the spot death. Police has registered a case and arrested the driver.
In another incident, a tipper (JK13-1714) collided with a Honda City Car (DL2CM-4855) at Sanatnagar Chowk resulting in injuries to its driver Muhammad Ashraf Rather of Rambagh. The injured was hospitalized. Both the vehicles were damaged in the incident. Police has registered a case and started investigation.
Meanwhile a casual labour with Power Development Department was among two persons killed in separate mishaps in south Kashmir on Friday.
They said that the casual labour Ishfaq Ahmad Rather son of Ghulam Qadir of Ratnipora died on the spot when he fell off from the poll at Badasgham in the district last evening.
