TeM, JKSM condemn Malik’s arrest
Srinagar, Apr 29: Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement and Tehreek-e-Muzahamat on Friday condemned the arrest of JKLF chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik and his close aide Showkat Bakshi.
Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Zaffar Akbar Bhat termed Malik’s arrest as a part of conspiracy to weaken the ongoing movement.
Addressing gathering at Jamia Masjid, Bagh-i-Mehtab, here, he said, “Killings, arrests and talks cannot go hand in hand.”
He also condemned the mysterious killing of innocents and arrest of separatist leaders and activists. Zaffar expressed concern over the falling health of detainees in jails and demanded their immediate release.
Meanwhile Tehreek, at a meeting here on Friday with its chairman, Bilal Siddiqui in chair condemned Malik’s arrest, a spokesman of TeM said.
He also expressed concern over the mysterious killing of an Imam, Muhammad Ashraf Lone at Kreeri Pattan and ‘use of indiscriminate force’ against the mourners.
