JKLF (R) pays tributes to Dr Guroo

Srinagar, Apr 3: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) chairman, Farooq Ahmad Dar, alias Bitta Karatey and senior vice-chairman, Javid Ahmad Mir, have paid rich tributes to noted cardiologist, Dr Abdul Ahad Guroo on his 19th martyrdom anniversary.
Front organized Fateh Khawani at Martyrs’ Graveyard, Eidgah, and Quran Khawani at its headquarters here to mark the anniversary.
JKLF leaders said, Dr Guroo had pledged his life to the cause of freedom of his homeland. “Despite working on higher post, Dr Guroo sacrificed his life in the freedom struggle,” they said, adding “armed forces opened fire on his funeral procession slaying dozens of mourners including his brother-in-law, Ashiq Hussain and injuring several others.”
Meanwhile, Front leaders have condoled the demise of the mother of Commander Muhammad Hanief alias Amir Khan, expressing sympathies with the bereaved.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Kashmir Youth Project from Rochdale UK visited the KCEU during a visit to the European Capital.
The Front chief patron and Kashmir Centre Brussels, executive director, Barrister Abdul Majid Tramboo apprised the delegation about KCEU work. He said, “Main objective of KCEU is to highlight the Kashmir issue, importance of its resolution, and rights violations in Valley.”
