'Dogra certificate conspiracy to divide JK on ethno-lingual lines'

Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) chairman, Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karatey and senior vice-chairman, Javid Ahmad Mir, have termed the government order on the issuance of Dogra Certificates to the people of Jammu as a “conspiracy to divide the people on ethno-lingual lines.”
 In a statement, the Front leaders said such steps were taken prior to 1947 also and now the present government was taking these measures to “continue to stay in power.” “The main objective behind the issuance of this order is to make a particular section of people more powerful to establish their supremacy over majority of the State,” they said, warning that such steps would have a negative impact on the political atmosphere of the State.
 They claimed that the Government was also taking such steps to “deflect attention of pro-movement leaders and people from ongoing freedom movement.”
