EDB outreaches through business facilitators

Srinagar, Apr 7: The EDB organized an orientation cum sensitization programme for its newly appointed Business Facilitators and a customer meett its Islamabad (Anantnag) Main Branch.
Chairman EDB A K Razdan on the occasion laid emphasis on the role of the business facilitators to help and support the bank in providing the financial services to the unbanked and underprivileged population.
He said that EDB has a participatory approach to provide all types of the financial services through the involvement of the business facilitators.
He said that committed to the social obligation, bank is enthusiastic in giving financial capital to people so that it brings the incredible changes in their lives.
They can help in elimination of exploitation by money lenders, create opportunities for self employment and empower the people to be economically strong.
Through Business facilitators’ bank can help to turn the vicious circle of low income, low savings, and low investments into an expanding circle of more income, more credit and more investments.
Speaking in the customer meet Chairman he said that Bank has a variety of tailor made products to suit the customer need, both in deposits and in advances.
