Govt to set up 11 ANM/GNM Schools: Sham
Jammu, Apr 7: Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Sham Lal Sharma today reviewed the progress of establishing ANM and GNM Schools in the State at a meeting here.
It was revealed in the meeting that location for setting up 4 ANM Schools and 3 GNM Schools has been finalized and their DPRs have been formulated. These schools will be established at Bandipora, Budgam, Kishtwar, Reasi, Jammu, Pulwama and Kargil in the first phase. During the second phase 4 more schools will be set up for which the locations are being identified.
The Minister was informed that Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has already released Rs. 40 crore for setting up of 6 ANM Schools and 5 GNM Schools in the State for which the State Government has accorded concurrence to the signing of MOU with the Government of India.
