Police files FIR into Magarmal extortion complaints

Srinagar, Apr 7: Following complaints of extortion allegedly by masked men in uniform in Magarmal Bagh area, the police has filed an FIR to probe the case.
 Officials said Police Station Shergarhi has filed the case Vide FIR No 28 of 2011 of extortion under section 392 RPC.
 Though no arrests have been made as yet, the police said it was looking into the case and suspects involvement of former militants or the infamous counter insurgency force, the Ikhwans.
 The locals have been saying that during nocturnal hours some masked men donning Khaki uniform attack people most Muaslees heading to Salah at Masjid at Isha and Fajr and decamp with cash or other valuables from them.
