DC gives cheques to beneficiaries
Pulwama: The District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Shafat Noor, distributed cheques among beneficiaries under various schemes here on Friday.
According to an official communiqué, the beneficiaries were covered under different schemes of department of fisheries including low cost construction of houses for Mahigeers (fisherman) and two types of fish farming for employment generation.
“Sixteen low cost structures where constructed for Mahigeers for the year 2010-2011 out of which six were covered under RKVY scheme and ten under CSS. Six trout units were constructed in private sector under RKVY scheme with 100 per cent subsidy and each unit cost of 1.5 lakh and six carp units were constructed under RKVY scheme with unit cost of 1.2 lakh and 100 per cent subsidy for the year 2010-2011,” it added.
