The write-up by Dr Javid Iqbal commemorating Ghulam Ahmad Ashai (GK April 04 ) was informative. It is true that the name of Ghulam Ahmad Ashai lovingly known as Amal Asai shall always be remembered by the students of Kashmir’s socio-political history. A photo showing coffin of Mirwaiz Rasool Shah, tucked in right corner with suit and tie Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah does not belong to the event of death of Mirwaiz Rasool Shah who expired in 1909. Sheikh Abdullah was born in 1905, he was hardly 4-5 years of age on the death of Mirwaiz. However, the photo may belong to Mirwaiz Ahmedullah who expired in 1931.
