CPI delegation calls on Mirwaiz
Srinagar, July 31: A delegation of Communist Party of India led by Member Parliament Aziz Pasha called on the Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq here on Sunday.
A spokesman of the amalgam said Mirwaiz informed them about the situation and historical background of the Kashmir issue, besides stand of the conglomerate.“The relations between India and Pakistan won’t improve till Kashmir issue is resolved according to the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris,” he quoted Mirwaiz as having told the delegation.
The spokesman said Mirwaiz also apprised them about the “double standards” of New Delhi and State Government saying that “Mainstream parties are allowed to carry out their activities and are encouraged, while curbs are imposed on pro-freedom leaders.”
Mirwaiz also asked Left-wing party to use its influence to resolve Kashmir issue.
