First phase
This refers to the news "Enumerators, Supervisors seek release of honorarium." It was about enumerators and supervisors of district Ganderbal who have not been paid honorarium for second phase of census. They are lucky enough to have got honorarium for the first phase. The poor officials who performed census duties in areas of Sopore have not still been paid honorarium for first phase of census, which ended a year ago. We approached approached Executive Officer, Municipality Sopore and DC. Baramulla many times, but nothing was done. Few days back the government passed public service guarantees act, 2011 which ensures that fine is imposed if delay in public service is caused by any official. But will such a fine be imposed on officials responsible for delay in this case.
