Shiv Sena protests Surankote fake encounter
GK NEWS NETWORK
Jammu, Aug 9: The activists of Shiv Sena (Bal Thackeray) on Tuesday staged a demonstration against the fake encounter at Hari forest in Surankote tehsil of Poonch distrist. The Sena demanded an independent probe to expose the vested interests in security agencies.
Chanting slogans against the security agencies, the protestors led by Sena president Ashok Gupta expressed deep anguish over the killing of an insane youth, identified as Ashok Kumar of Reasi. “It is highly unfortunate that innocent youth was first killed in fake encounter and was later labeled as Lashkar-e-Toiba commander by the security agencies for reward.”
He demanded that all concerned officials, be it from Army, Police, CID or Intelligence, should be suspended and an independent inquiry should be initiated to expose all the “vested interests” in security forces.
He also appreciated the Molvi, to whom body of the insane youth was handed over for burial in Surankote, for raising the alarm that the killed ‘militant’ was not a Muslim.
“Government of India had been spending thousands of crores of rupees on security agencies but they failed to identify the insane youth and labeled him as LeT militant. All responsible officials should be brought to justice to stop such incidents in near future,” he said.
