KU e-course on marketing communication from Sep 5

Srinagar, Aug 10: Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMMRC), University of Kashmir, in collaboration with Consortium for Educational Consortium (CEC), New Delhi is organizing an e-course on ‘Marketing Communication and Salesmanship’, from September 5.
 The course shall be taught in virtual mode through Edusat and Vyas-the higher education TV channel of UGC
 About the course objectives, EMMRC director, Dr Shahid Rasool, said the aim was to introduce students to the principle and basic concept of marketing communication process in a streamlined integrated marketing strategy; provide an understanding of integrated marketing communications and its influences on other marketing functions and promotional activities. “The objective is also to provide an opportunity to the students to benefit from the expertise of resource persons from outside the state.”
 Dr Shahid, said it was also to help trainees understand, analyze and evaluate the fast-changing field of advertising and promotion which affects global marketing, society and economy. The course is designed to develop in them positive communication skills and better understanding of marketing communication approaches and learn techniques of effective marketing strategy.
 Giving further details, the Director, said the students with 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with basic knowledge of English were eligible to apply for the 50 seats available for the course. “The Course will commence on September 5 and will complete by October 14. Classes will be held at the Virtual Classroom of EMMRC, University of Kashmir from 11.00-11:30 AM. A live interactive session with the expert will be taken up on Fridays during the course, during which students will ask questions and interact with the experts through video conferencing,” Dr Shahid added. 
 He said for the details of course the participants are advised to log on to CEC websitehttp://www.cec-ugc.nic.in and read the instructions carefully; given under the head “e-course”.  He said for the submission of forms and registration of the course a student shall visit EMMRC, University of Kashmir. The registration of the students will be done purely on first cum first serve basis, he said adding the last date for registration was August 15
 Pertinently EMMRC has been conducting e-courses and e-workshops in various specialized fields during the last three years benefiting hundreds of students and faculty at Kashmir University.
