President Blues takes on President Reds in final
R C TIKOO CRICKET TOURNAMENT TITLE CLASH TODAY
Srinagar Aug 10: President XI Blues confirmed the title berth against President-XI Reds in a style on Wednesday after defeating Chairman-XI Blues by seven wickets in the ongoing R C Tikoo tournament at SK Cricket Stadium here.
The brilliant ton by Adil Reshi and half century by Majid Dar took their team to a comfortable win in the second semi-finals today.
Both the batsmen plundered runs at will while chasing a target of 215 runs.
Earlier, President XI Blues won the toss and decided to pun in middle Chairman XI Blues for batting.
Chairman Blues scored 215 runs while losing all their wickets in 39.5 overs. Ubaid Ahmad scored 66 runs while as Sameer contributed 38 runs.
For President Blues Abid Nabi claimed three wickets while giving away 38 runs and Amir Mehraj claimed two wickets giving away 39 runs.
In reply, President Blues reached the target in only 35.4 overs while losing three of their wickets. Adil Reshi blasted unbeaten 114 runs while has he was ably supported by Majid Dar who remained not out on 64 runs. For Chairman XI Blues, Behzad claimed one wicket while giving away 30 runs.
On Tuesday in the first semi-finals, President Blues crushed General Secretary Blues by 8 wickets. The tournament is being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at SK Cricket Stadium Srinagar in which the teams from both the provinces have participated.
