Shopkeepers fined

Srinagar, Aug 10: A fine of Rs 10,500 was recovered from allegedly erring shopkeepers by the CAPD squad Tuesday during market inspection in the City.
 A CAPD spokesman said “in view tendency of hoarding, profiteering and blackmarketing, the joint team of CAPD enforcement wing led by Director AW Tak conducted market checking in various areas of Srinagar.”
 He said over a dozen erring traders were also booked for violation of norms. “During market checking the consumers were educated by the Director CAPD about their rights and the shopkeepers were warned to desist from hoarding, profiteering and black marketing.”
