Heavy rains lash Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 11: Heavy rains lashed the national capital for the second consecutive day today causing inconvenience to commuters as several roads were waterlogged resulting in traffic snarls.
The showers started around 10 am and the heavy downpour resulted in waterlogging in many areas, a senior police official said.
The MCD Control Room received eight complaints of waterlogging and six cases of fallen trees. Two cases of building collapse were also reported from Mongolpuri and Jafrabad during the day. Two persons suffered injuries in the Mongolpuri incident.
