Lend full support to deptts for completing projects: Speaker to people
Srinagar, Aug 11: Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Muhammad Akbar Lone on Thursday appealed to the people to give full support to field functionaries of all the departments in completing the under execution projects.
Lone inaugurated 33/11 KV Receiving Station (RS) at Naidkhai constructed at a cost of Rs.1.63 crore and directed the PDD authorities to collect the power tariff from BPL consumers as per norms.
Addressing public, the Speaker said two Receiving Stations including Naidkhai and Madwan Prang were sanctioned at a cost of Rs 6 crore out of which Naidkhai commissioned today while Madwan Receiving Station would be commissioned within three months. He said RS Naidkhai would benefit 21 villages including Naidkhai Bazar, Herpora, Takiya Wazpora, Slutanpora, Magraypora, Gund Boon, Shah Gund etc. with population of about 15000 souls by way of providing better quality and reliable power supply besides improving reliability of power supply during irrigation season. He directed the Chief Engineer, PDD Kashmir to prepare a comprehensive project for upgradation of Receiving Station, Hajjin.
Lone said Rs 1.50 core would be spent on the development of Park at Naidkhai. He said opening of Degree College at Hajjin was under active consideration of the Government.
