Makhdoom Sahib locality seeks upgradation of basic amenities

Srinagar, Aug 11: The residents of Makhdoom Sahib locality have appealed the government to upgrade civic amenities in the area.
The residents said they had long pending demands which successive regimes have failed to fulfil.
They said the road from Bab-ul-Sultan gate to Government Girls College be repaired.
“We also need a community hall for which land has already been identified,” they added
They alleged that the area is fed “foul smelling and contaminated water since last year due to which we’re facing tremendous hardships”.
“We request the authorities to feed us from Rangil Water Plant.”
They also sought facelift of the Sultan-ul-Arfeen Higher Secondary School.
Besides, they said road widening was badly required particularly from Bachidarwaza to Nowhatta Chowk and also near the Kathi Darwaza.
They appealed the local MLA to look into the matter.
