GARBAGE HEAPS OUTSIDE IQBAL (RA) PARK MOCK AT SMC
WE all know how Dr Sir Muhammad Iqbal park, which remained neglected for years was transformed into a picturesque spot. But due to poor approach of Srinagar Municipal Corporation, a spot outside the park is a garbage dumping site. There’s a open garbage shed on the Airport Road where it intersects with the Naaz crossing. The site not only looks ugly but its stench spreads to the entire area.
I request SMC officials to come out of their AC rooms and have a look at the garbage storing techniques. In this modern age of technology, the SMC is behaving like faux paux: “Stoneage Muncipal Corporation.”
