Despite drain, rains inundate Shah Anwar Colony

Srinagar, Aug 14: Despite completion of much hyped drainage system in Shah Anwar Colony at Hydepora, the resident said a few hours of showers Friday left the locality roads inundated.
 The residents emailed some latest pictures to GK’s City Page, to highlight their problem.
 “After years of delay the drain was completed but our woes seem to have no end,” the residents said.
 “What is the fun of a drainage system which cannot even withstand two hours of showers?” the locals argued.
 The locals appealed the authorities to look into the matter.
