FCC Nowshera, Royal Cricket Club defeat rival teams

Srinagar, Aug 14: In the ongoing 4th Shaheed-e-Millat T-20 Cricket Tournament two matches were played at Islamia College ground here on Sunday.
In the first match, FCC Nowshera defeated Late Arshid Cricket Club Qamarwari by 20 runs. Batting first, FCC Nowshera scored 154 runs for the loss of nine wickets in allotted overs. Sameer Bhat with 66 was highest scorer for them while Yaqoob and Umer took three wickets each for Late Arshid Cricket Club.
In reply, Arshid Club were bundled out for 134 runs. Uzair and Adil with 26 each were highest scorers for them while Akhtar took three wickets for FCC.
In the second match, Royal Cricket Club defeated Gojwara Cricket Club by nine runs. Batting first, Royal scored 151 runs for the loss of eight wickets in allotted overs. Reyaz with 36 and Mukhtar with 30 were highest scorers for them while Gowher and Irshad took three wickets each for Gojwara CC.
In reply Gojwara CC fell short of a target by just nine runs scoring 142 runs for the loss of all wickets. Shahid with 60 was highest scorer for them while Mehfooz scored 22. Mehraj took three wickets for Royal while Zahid took two.
