Naqashband Sahab T-20 Cricket tourney on

Srinagar, Aug 16: In the ongoing Khawaja Naqashband Sahab T-20 cricket tourney two matches were played at Rada Pora playing field here on Tuesday.
In the first match Gani Memorial CC defeated Shiv Pora-XI by 168 runs. Batting first Gani memorial scored 233 runs in allotted 20 overs. Ubaid scored unbeaten 64 while Sameer scored 55 for them.
In replt Shiv Pora-XI were bundled out for 68 runs in just 14 overs. Haroon, Arshid and Ubaid took 2 wickets each for the Gani Memorial.
In the second match, Dara XI defeated Hyderpora Cricket club by 102 runs. Batting first Dara-XI scored 197 in allotted 20 overs. Rayees Ahmad scored 53 runs while Tariq Ahmad scored 54 for them.
In reply, Hyderpora CC were bundled out for 94 runs in 17 overs. Dara-XI won the match by 102, Rayees ahmad took two wickets and Ubaid took three wickets for Dara-XI
Rayees Ahmad was declared man of the match.
Secretary J&K State Sports Council Kiran Wattal was the chief guest on the occasion, along with him was Chief sports officer M S baba, Sports officer Haji Ab Qayoom.
The event is being organised by J&K State Sports Council under the banner of Sports Council Games 2011.
