Srinagar, Aug 17: A Mohalla based Samaj Sudhar-Wa-Falaha Behbud Committee of Rose Lane Colony at Chanapora in the City has appealed the concerned authorities to get proper drainage system developed in the area.
“The colony was developed during the recent decade and there is huge infrastructure in the shape of residential houses, wherein a huge population is residing,” the committee said.
“But unfortunately this area lacks proper drainage system due to which we are facing lot of hardships,” the committee Chairman added.
“During rainy days and winter season the area remains inundated in knee deep waters and the water often seeps into the foundation of our houses causing dampness,” the residents said adding the same could lead to loss of the property.
Besides the residents said, the area lacks proper road network which cases tremendous hardships to the inhabitants in venturing out of their houses.
The residents appealed to concerned authorities to look into the matter on priority basis.
