Here is a chance for Muslims to set themselves right

RAMADHAN BY ASIF DRABU

Ramadhan is the holiest and the greatest blessings of Allah (SWT) upon the ummah of his beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It is the middle of five pillars of Islam. This is the best of all months in the eyes of Allah. Its days are the best of days, its nights are the best of nights, and its hours are the best of hours’. In this month the Holy Quran was sent down as a guide to mankind, also Clear Signs for guidance and judgment between right and wrong. Abu Hurairah (RA), reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: 'When there comes the month of Ramadan, the gates of mercy are opened, and the gates of Hell are locked and the devils are chained'. (Al-Bukhari). Every breath taken has the reward of Tasbeeh and good deeds are rewarded in abundance. A person who does not receive the mercy and benevolence of Allah (SWT) is most unfortunate.
Anybody who does not annoy others in this month and anybody who treats well his relatives in this month will receive the mercy of Allah on the Day of Judgment. This holy month teaches us how to be patient and how a Muslim should live his daily life as per the guidelines of Islam. This month tells a Muslim how he should submit himself wholeheartedly to Allah and then Allah rewards him accordingly. This month should act like a training course for every Muslim in which every Muslim should try to follow the basics of Islam like in ordinary days most of us don’t pray regularly, most often we back bite, we tell lies. But this month teaches us that we should abstain from every such evil which is against the Islam. By following Ramadhan with true spirit, it can bring revolution in our lives and help us to live a pious life. Somehow in normal days when we don’t follow the guidelines of Islam, this holy month reminds and teaches us that how one should be firm in his deeds. This month gives us a chance of self introspection.
Our day of fasting should not be like ordinary days. When we Fast, all our senses, eyes, ears, tongue, hands and feet must fast with us. This is the month of great opportunity, the opportunity to gain Allah’s Good Pleasure and Nearness, for Allah’s good pleasure is higher than the material benefits of the world as well as the material pleasures of the hereafter.
The benefits of the Ramadhan  are too many to be counted. If one does recognize them and realize their importance, he wishes to have the month of Ramadhan to be throughout the whole year. This month gets us closer to attain Taqwa which signifies, fearing Allah (SWT), practicing the Revelations of Allah (SWT).
The month of Ramadhan also gives us the opportunity to pay  Zakat al-Fitrah (Charity on Eid Day) which helps us in feeding the needy Sharing happiness with the poor, Improving human relations and thus improving society. In this holy month one should also pay Sadaqah (Charity) which in turn helps in flourishing and circulation of wealth. It improves economy and elimination of inflation and poverty as well.
