ReT teachers back JCC pen-down strike

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers’ Forum, at a meeting held here today with its chairman, Gazi Abdul Aziz in chair, announced its support to Joint Consultative Committee’s pen-down strike call on September 6, 7 and 8, appealing all the ReTs to make it successful.
Meanwhile, the Forum has urged the government to fulfill all the genuine demands of ReTs including inclusion of first five years period in service records for seniority purposes, enhancement of honorarium of Rs 1500 to basic pay, non-implementation of new pension scheme for ReTs, release of pending salary under PRAN on eve on Eid and regularization of EVs on (5+2) pattern.
